Top developers, businesses and property owners have long turned to attorney Brian C. Randall for expert help with zoning, land use, licensing, ordinance changes and local government bids and contracts.
“Success in dealing with the complexity of real estate issues, especially those that involve government, requires a thorough understanding of the law and strong relationships with decision makers,” Randall said. “I enjoy leading clients through what sometimes appears to be a maze of challenges, and helping them realize their goals.”
Randall’s zoning and land use experience includes rezoning, entitlement, permitting, occupancy and real estate development work for owners, developers and end users.
He advises clients on alcohol beverage and other municipal licensing, including applications, renewals, statutory and ordinance quota issues and regulatory compliance. As a certified Wisconsin responsible beverage server, Randall knows the practical side of these issues and has been appointed as a resident license agent by some clients.
Randall handles lobbying and legislative matters on behalf of clients who will be affected by proposed municipal regulation. He also works with clients submitting bids for governmental contracts and concessions including those containing DBE/WBE/EBE requirements.
“My municipal / local government law practice is relationship driven and politically minded as much as it is legal,” said Randall, a shareholder at the firm. “I advise my clients on the current law, as well as guide them through issues presented by the community, elected officials and government staff.”
Randall is one of the area’s top election-law attorneys. He has monitored polling locations, handled numerous election recounts, advised groups or candidates on election law compliance issues and represented those on both sides of recall petition and nomination paper challenges.
